Introduction to nails ππ§πΌββοΈ
IN THIS LESSON
In this diagram you have all the elements of the nail.
Nail Plate: Keratinized layers; visible protective shield.
Matrix: Growth engine (produces nail cells); trauma causes ridges/Beauβs lines.
Nail Bed: Vascularized skin supporting the plate; discoloration signals issues.
Cuticle (Eponychium): Barrier against infections.
Lunula: Visible matrix tip; pale due to packed keratinocytes.
Hyponychium: Seal under free edge; prevents debris/bacterial entry. This is the peace of skin behind the nail plate, its not visible in this diagram. It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
